As a woman, I write a great deal about men who wear lingerie. To be honest, it has become rather a passion of mine over the past few years.

So you like to wear lingerie under your clothes during the day, and you want to extend your lingerie obsession into the night as well. There's nothing wrong with lingerie being an obsession; in fact, one could argue that it is obsessions which make the world go round.

Nightgowns, also known as night dresses, are long and flowing items of lingerie designed to look sexy and be incredibly comfortable. Yes, if you wore one of these, you'd technically be wearing a dress. But, oh, what a dress! Clad from top to toe in the smoothest of silk or nylon, you'd have the best night's sleep you've had in a very long time.

I just love vintage babydoll nighties with nice long ribbons on the shoulders and a big bow in the front with 2 bows either side. The ribbons would have to be nylon and extend beyond the hem. As I love playing with the long ribbons when wearing my babydoll nighties . I wear them round my home too

The problem is that when my girl friend stays over, she doesn’t want to see me wearing my nightgown. She knows I wear it and she sees it hanging in the bathroom, but I cannot wear it when she is with me.

She has no problem with my wearing It when alone, she just doesn’t want to see me wearing it.

It’s a bit tricky to find sexy gowns in plus sizes but it can be done. Some Asian products are way undersized.

My Mother got me into vintage nighties in the 60's. Nighties wern't vintage then just a normal nylon nightie in thoses days.

She was going through a divorce and I had come home and live with her as she was alone, I used to come up to her bedroom each morning as I didn't start work till much later on. I love to sit on her bed in my P.J.s and one morning she said to me "you should've come up in your nightie, Phil" I said. " I havn't got any nighties Mum" so she replied, "Well, do U want to try on one of my nylon nighties???" And I said "well.......OK then, is that OK Mum" "of course U can" she said so I asked her what draw do U keep your nighties in Mum,??? so she told me, so I she undressed me from my PJ's to the nude and I sorted out a real sexy nightie that she used to wear quite a lot,I put it on as fast as I could and she said that it suited me and IT FELT SO so nice I just had it on all day, then I asked her if I could wear it to bed"of course U can " Then she said "lets go to the lingerie shop and buy you some nylon nighties " So off we went and bought some real nice baby-doll chiffon nighties I think it was about 3 or 4 its a long time ago now, but I had to sleep in with my Mother she told me but that was OK as we both loved to wear the baby-doll nighties. Sometimes we would swap nighties in front of each other, and we both loved doing that, as she told me, and I said yes Mum I love to do that to. But sadly a few yrs ago she passed away, and now I'm in my late 60's and have been wearing chiffon nylon nighties ever since both when I'm at home during the day when I'm not working and to bed at night ....its great and I love it. I have a big drawer just FULL of chiffon baby-doll nighties and another drawer full of nylon peignoirs or negligee's all different soft colours as well and some have nice ribbons and bows on as well.

They created and account and file for me and I just order items when I feel I need them. Everything is done by appointment. Panties, bras, slips and thigh highs, doesn’t get any better than this. When my wife is out of town on business I sleep in one of her half slips. Half slips are the only ones that fit me as I have none of my own. This is in addition to garter and thigh highs. I have two garters to choose from, a Christian Dior I bought her for an anniversary and one I purchased for me. When I finish wearing hers I just throw it back in her drawer. She never knows. I usually wash it along with my stockings in Woolite and hang to dry.

I only wear Satin in the winter month because satin doesn't breath as well as Nylon.

I prefer Olga, which I don't think they make anymore. They are very comfortable to wear and you forget you have one on.

I got awfull testicle pain from the sharp crotch of my pyjama trousers and when I realized what could be causing the pain I borrowed a simple cotton nighty from my wife. I felt foolish it was too tight with the short sleeves and cold wearing above knees so I went online and found 'Woman Within' had a sale on. I bought a long sleeved 53" full length night gown and it felt so natural I was hooked and bought three more. Wife thought I was funny but I hurt my shoulder at work and couldn't be on top that night in bed so common wife to my rescue and with legs apart she tried the 'on top position for the first time. Boy was that terrific guys. Soon I was having my panties taken down and began a brand new sex life as the sub partner. Now we both change into our nighty's to sit around drinking cocoa and watch a movie together in body shaven massage's and sheer frilly feminine bliss. Don't knock it till you have tried it guys.

I have developed a lifelong fascination for the Victorian era Nightdress with all its attendant whitework Broderie Anglais frillings and finely worked pintucks. When I prepare myself for bed as the modest minded lady of the Victorian era, in conjunction with my fully buttoned up to its frilly collar, long flowing voluminous & elaborately befrilled Nightdress, I also don a beautifully befrilled Night Bonnet that fully frames my face in soft delicate lacy ruffles and ties securely in place with a dainty draping bow under my chin. A pretty cardigan & or shawl, worn over my Nighties on the colder nights completes the picture of Olde World boudoir minded modesty that is my life long transgendered identity. I wonder, does anyone else feel that their feminine identity is not of this time and wish they were a woman of another time as I persistently do ? To conclude I love my vast collection of Victorian and contemporary Nighties and ruffled Nightcaps and wish I was the wife and mother to a husband who comes every night to our conjugal bedchamber adorned in his own fine lace ruffled Nightshirt and Nightcap in the glow of our oil lit bed lamp.

I sleep only in full-length satin and nylon nightgowns, and to tell you the truth, unlike PJ's they "remove the stress" somehow. I don't know why, but I feel fantastic, putting on a nightgown after a hard-working day. I'm about 190 cm (~6'5") tall, so all my nightgown and robe sets are custom-tailored, about 65"-66" long from shoulder to hem. Such lengths are practically unavailable on the market. I'm happy - my wife and daughter are OK with that, they have a lot of fun :) I don't wear any panties or other underwear underneath- it only spoils the great feeling!

I too have been wearing long (52" or longer) nightgowns for many years and will never go back to pajamas. To me, pajamas are too "restricting" and I tend to get too warm in them. Nightgowns keep me plenty warm yet allow for circulation.

I also see no need for male nightgowns because 1, they tend to be not long enough and 2, they are rather plain. I have 8 womens 52" nightgowns in various fabrics and styles. Some are best for winter, some are best for summer, and the others can be worn year round.

A long time ago, men used to wear a type of gown to bed anyway. But if more men tried a woman's nightgown for sleeping, many would find it far more comfortable and restful than any other type of pajamas. Many probably would never go back to PJ's ever. And yes, lots of women's nightgowns do look very nice on men.

Nylon nightgowns are the best! I have always worn women's nightgowns, only because they were the only thing available. My wife doesn't care for the look on me but knowing how much I love nylon and satin, she's ok with it. BUT! I just found a site where they sell nylon nightgowns for men. I searched on yahoo search engine and found nightgownsformen.com. I ordered a blue and lavender one (my wife is glad about how they're designed-not so feminem- but she wasn't thrilled i wanted lavender). Can't wait till they come in!

I feel like a lucky guy I love to wear the double layer baby doll nighties of nylon and to me they are the sexiest things i have ever seen. Now I get to wear them for my wife. But the feel of the nightie is awesome But a lot of men if they were to try these on would experience something they never have experienced and that is feeling so good in these beauties. nylon nighties are the best and i love them.
