It can be hard to find fashionable and affordable plus-size clothing options for women no matter where you live, but it feels like a real struggle at times in Australia. While there are lots of clothing options both online and storefront around Australia, sometimes the plus-size options (AU 14 and up) seem few and far between.

I've cultivated a list of the best plus-size online clothing stores for Australian shoppers, and also included some details for you if you're new to the particular store, including price range, free shipping offers, and whether Afterpay is available or not.

1. ASOS

ASOS is a British online fashion store; however, they ship worldwide (including Australia) and offer a nice range of plus size clothes under their ASOS Curve & Plus Size line. They have a lot of trendy, casual clothes and tend to offer various promotions and sales throughout the year.

Style: Casual; t-shirts, trendy blouses, jeans, tanks, comfy jumpers, etc.

Atomic Cherry is an online store based in Brisbane, Australia. They primarily sell rockabilly and punk-style clothing and have a large plus-size range. Atomic Cherry is a nice (and surprisingly affordable) alternative to sites like ModCloth or other vintage clothing stores which don’t offer many plus-size options or do so at exorbitant prices.

Autograph is an Australian/NZ clothing store that has both physical shops and online shopping. They cater to a more mature style of clothing and have a lot of nice blouses that are suitable for business casual attire. They tend to have sales nearly all the time (sign up for the newsletter to be notified of their flash sales) with 50%–70% discounts.

Style: Casual and business casual; conservative blouses, printed tops, day and evening dresses, kaftans, etc.

4. Best and Less

Best and Less is another Australian retailer with both storefront and online shopping. Their clothes are mainly what you’d find in a department store, but they do offer lots of plus-size options, and I’ve found some really cute dresses there from time to time. They’re also very affordable and on the cheaper end of the spectrum.

Style: Very casual; t-shirts, jeggings, shorts, fleece jumpers, pullovers, trackpants, pajamas, etc.

Speaking of department stores, Big W is one of the largest Australian department stores and offers both physical retail and online shopping. Target Australia is yet another department store, which again, offers a variety of plus-size clothing. They’re a bit more fashionable and have more work attire compared to the other department stores mentioned above. While you can find casual clothes, you can also find business casual work-wear, too. Their Belle Curve line is suited specifically for plus-sizes (and I personally buy all my bras from their Belle Curve line).

Prices are a bit higher than most, but they run sales and promos often that offer half off or more.

Answer: I don't mind City Chic, but they are quite expensive, in my opinion, and some of the clothes are a bit matronly. But if you can find a cute dress on sale, go for it!
