Suzette Walker

I am a retired English/Spanish high school and middle school teacher. I have taught in the U.S. and overseas and I have lived in Mexico, Spain, and Germany as well as the U.S. I presently live in Taos, NM and I love the sunshine, mountains, open spaces of the land, adobes, sunflowers, sagebrush ,and, of course, friends and family. Life is good!

I am no longer suzettenaples but suzettetaos now. My recent move to Taos, NM has brought enlightenment and new meaning to my life. This is a very creative community and a great place to write and pursue photography. I am not sure how to change my name from suzettenaples to suzettetaos here on hubpages, but just know I am now living out in the southwest of the U.S. and not the southeast.

I may be retired, but I have rewired, and I am now embarking on a freelance writing and photography career online. You can see samples of my writing on http://suzette-suzettesays.blogspot.com as well.

Here on hub pages I like to write about American, English and Spanish literature, traveling, architecture, art, artists and sometimes the whimsical. I think I was an art history major in another life, but actually, except for one class I took as an undergraduate, my art knowledge is all self-taught from visiting art museums and galleries here in the U.S. and in Europe. It has become one of my passions along with reading, writing, and photography.

I love photography, especially outdoor photography, and usually I travel with camera in tow. I love to catch nature in progress and any flowers, wildflowers, sunsets, beaches, water, trees, sea shells, meadows, countryside, my backyard, birds, wildlife, as well as traveling photos, have all become subjects of my photos.
