Alundrah Sibanda

Alundrah Sibanda has a variety of writing interests including entrepreneurship, natural hair, media issues and gender issues

Alundrah Sibanda is the inaugural chairperson of Zimbabwe’s newly established Diplomatic Business Networking Club. She is also a co-founder of Shielded Africa, an organization which is committed to fighting gender-based violence (GBV) in Africa.

She is a toastmaster's past president and a young woman who is passionate about youth participation in critical discourse around issues that affect Africa so she serves as a moderator for panel discussions with young African leaders. Alundrah and her team participated in the UNODC Borderless Youth Forum in 2019 and their project was presented at UN Women’s commemoration of 25th Anniversary of the Beijing Declaration in Thailand.

She was enrolled in her M.A Journalism in 2020 and has a BA International Relations with distinction and a B.A Honours in Journalism all from Stellenbosch University. Her stellar academic record and participation in campus activities earned her an SU/Africa Scholarship award for Excellence in Campus involvement in 2017 and she is a Mandela Rhodes Scholar.
